Keith Ellis is probably best known as member of Van Der Graaf Generator between 1968 and 1969. Ellis has also collaborated with The Koobas, The Misunderstood, Ollie Halsall, Juicy Lucy, Boxer, Mike Patto, and Tony Newman. Ellis died while on tour in Germany in 1978 with Iron Butterfly. The song "Not For Keith" (on the album "pH7" by Peter Hammill, 1979) is a tribute to him.
