Kraftwerk were founded by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider, who had met as students at the Düsseldorf Conservatory in the late 1960s. Hütter and Schneider had just left the group where played, "the Organization", with which in
1970 recorded an album entitled "Tone Float" produced by Conrad Plank, producer of the future Kraftwerk's first album (1970).
