Liquid Tension Experiment is one of the many Dream Theater's side projects, this album features Jordan Rudess on keyboards, Mike Portnoy on drums, John Petrucci on guitar, and Tony Levin on bass. This work expresses all the compositional and technical virtuosity of the individual bandmates, and it's worthy of their name and talent, the result is a very good mix of prog rock, metal, and psychedelic melodies. It's an album free from schemes and it moves through various musical genres. Good.
