Born Richard Wayne Penniman he is an American singer, songwriter, pianist, considered together with few contemporaries (like Chuck Berry), fundamental in the transition from rhythm and blues to rock and roll in the first 1950s. his most famous hits are "Tutti Frutti", "Long Tall Sally" and "Good Golly, Miss Molly".
