Low are composed by the founding member Alan Sparhawk (guitar, piano and vocals) and Mimi Parker (drums and vocals), with Steve Garrington (bass guitar). Ex members are John Nichols (bass guitar), Zak Sally (bass guitar) and Matt Livingston (bass guitar).
Their music is commonly described as "lo-fi" or "slowcore", and it's characterised by slow tempos and minimalist arrangements.
