Luigi Creatore is a retired record producer and songwriter. Creatore, in the 50s, joined his cousin Hugo Peretti to form the songwriting partnership called "Hugo & Luigi". The duo worked also as a producer, they collaborated with artists such as, Sam Cooke and Ray Peterson, among others. As songwriters, they wrote very famous songs, such as, English lyrics for "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and the Elvis Presley hit single "Wild in the Country".
