Born Mark Feld, Bolan was an English singer-songwriter, guitarist and poet. He is best known for his work with the seminal British glam rock band T. Rex. He is widely considered by fans and collegues one of the fathers of glam rock in the 70s and surely one of the best artists of British rock music. He was friend of David Bowie (among the others), they also collaborated together from time to time; he died in a car accident in London when he was nearly 30.
