Mark Egan has collaborated and recorded with several musicians, such as, amongst other, Roger Daltrey and Sting, he has performed also with John McLaughlin, the Gil Evans Orchestra, David Sanborn and Marianne Faithfull. Mark Egan is perhaps best known for his work with the Pat Metheny Group between 1977 and 1980. He has a his own group (together with his bandmate in Pat Metheny Group, Danny Gottlieb ) called "Elements", with which he continues to tour and record. Egan has also a solo career started in 1985 with the album "Mosaic".
