There's a beautiful mix of jazz, hard rock and a pinch of funk in this work, which hides in the acronym of the group (MCM), the personality of the guitarist Alex Masi, drummer John Macaluso, and bassist Randy Coven. I believe that none of the three needs introduction, are all well-known musicians and instrument virtuosos. The result is a very hard fusion, with highly refined technique, and already from the first track (Ritual Factory), emerges the extraordinary abilities of the three musicians. This work will appeal to those who like the Naked City, Niacin, Liquid Tension Experiment, Liquid Trio Experiment and probably the two equally wonderful albums by another fantastic trio, Bozzio - Levin - Stevens, entitled 'Black Light Syndrome' and 'Situation Dangerous'. Ritual Factory is a Great record.
