The news was... there... but everything was a bit uncertain. Now James Hetfield and Co. made it clear straight through their official website. Their "secret" project and their new recordings took place some months ago in their studio, together with one of the biggest icons of rock music: Lou Reed! Metallica and Reed finished the recording sessions of ten new songs; this really makes a brand new album!!! Release dates and other details are still unknown but Metallica (and Reed) fans all over the world can now start the countdown for what could really be one of the biggest surprises in recent rock music history. At the moment both Metallica and Lou Reed are busy with their extensive summer tours. Stay tuned!
