St. Anger

St. Anger, Metallica St. Anger: St. Anger is the eight Metallica studio album. Released in June 2003, comes six year later ReLoad, the longest gap between studio albums in Metallica history. The new album was supposed to be released some years earlier, as recordings started in 2001 but Metallica had to face 2 major issues; at first, rhythm guitarist and singer James Hetfield had to enter rehabilitation for alcoholism. Secondly, bassist Jason Newsted. left the band before the initial sessions for the album in 2003. Metallica decided to record with producer Bob Rock at the bass and to look for a new member for the imminent St. Anger support tour. This album was yet another surprise for both fans and critics, due to a complete change of direction from the 1990s band works, which, at least confirmed Metallica will to shock and displace. The sound is rough, rabid, angry, no space for guitar solos and technical diversions: just rage. Appreciated or not, needless to say, another success in the charts for them. The DVD contains rehearsals of all songs in the same order as in the album and a preview of a Metallica video game. Robert Trujillo, the new and current bassist and backing vocals, appears for the first time with Metallica in this DVD.
