The $5.98 E.p. Garage Days Re Revisited

The $5.98 E.p. Garage Days Re Revisited, Metallica The $5.98 E.p. Garage Days Re Revisited: This EP was the first recording Metallica made with Jason Newsted (referred to as "Jason Newkid" in the liner notes), after he entered the band substituting Cliff Burton (who tragically died the previous year). The EP consisted of covers of bands that influenced Metallica in their early years, New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) and Hardcore Punk. It was rehearsed in Lars Ulrich's garage (from which its title) and later recorded in a studio. The band included the dollar price in the title (and printed on the cover) to make sure that fans already knew the price they had to pay and were not overcharged.
