Born Michael Anthony Sobolewski, he is an American musician, most famous for having been the longtime bassist for hard rock band Van Halen since their beginning in the first 70s. In 2006 he departed from Van Halen and among his many other projects and collaborations, he joined the rock supergroup Chickenfoot. He is also a businessman in the hot sauces market.
