Profile:
Midge Ure (born James Ure) is probably best known as leader and frontman of Ultravox between 1980 and 1987. Midge Ure in early 70s has worked with bands as "Salvation", "Slik", "The Rich Kids" and "PVC2", then, in 1979 and 1980 he worked with Thin Lizzy. Ure, together with Steve Strange and Billy Currie founded also the "Visage". Ure co-wrote and produced the single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" and co-organised Band Aid, Live Aid and Live 8 together with Bob Geldof. He has also a solo career, he has recorded several albums and in 1998, he had one hit single, that becomes famous all over Europe, "Breathe", boosted by its use in a Swatch TV ad campaign. In 2009, the "classic" Ultravox line-up from the 1980s (Currie, Ure, Chris Cross, and Warren Cann) reformed for a successful tour, their first together in over 20 years.
