Mike Rutherford (born Michael John Cleote Crawford Rutherford) is a founding member of Genesis. His first significant musical experience was with the "Anon" in which militated Anthony Phillips. Later Rutherford and Phillips joined Peter Gabriel and Tony Banks founding the original line up of Genesis. Over his career with Genesis, Rutherford works as a soloist and with the group Mike and the Mechanics.
