Profile:
Born Neil Percival Young, he is a Canadian singer, musician and songwriter who is considered as one of the most influential musicians of his generation. Young began performing as a solo artist in Canada in 1960, he then moved to California where he co-founded the band Buffalo Springfield with Stephen Stills, and later joined Crosby, Stills & Nash as their fourth member in 1969. He then began a successful and acclaimed solo career, which spanned over 40 years and still goes on. He knew even bigger popularity all around the world in the 1990s, as he was unanimously recognized as their biggest influence by all most famous grunge bands, such as Pearl Jam and Nirvana. In particular Pearl Jam often cover Young's songs in their live gigs: they also performed a tour together in 1995.
