Pat Metheny (born Patrick Bruce Metheny) is a musician and composer, probably, together with John Scofield and Bill Frisell, the most representative guitarist of his generation. Metheny has an extensive solo career, he is a founding member and the leader, since 1977, of the Pat Metheny Group and he is also involved in duets, other collaborations and side projects together with others musicians.
