Patrick Moraz is best known as a member of Yes and The Moody Blues. He began his career in 1968 when, together with Jean Restori, founded the group "Mainhorse", with which public a self-titled album.
In 1973 he took the place left by Keith Emerson in Nice, which, with Moraz, changed its name to "Refugee". In 1974 he was called by Yes to replace Rick Wakeman on the keyboard. Moraz played on the album
"Relayer" (1974). Subsequently, Moraz left the Yes (replaced by Wakeman) and
joined The Moody Blues, played in their "Octave" tour (1979), and then on the album "Long Distance Voyager" (1981).
Moraz has been a member of the Moody Blues until 1991.
In the 80s, he devoted himself to several other projects, toured with his group of Brazilian musicians,
recorded with Chick Corea and Bill Bruford, and released many other solo albums.
Since early 90s, Moraz has continued primarily to dedicate on his solo works, particularly solo piano.
