Paul Chambers (born Paul Laurence Dunbar Chambers Jr.) is perhaps best known for the large number of his collaborations on recordings, and about central events in his jazz era, one for all, his partecipation on "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis. Chambers played both as a sideman and as a leader. As a sideman he has often collaborated with musicians such as Cannonball Adderley, John Coltrane, Nat Adderley, Red Garland, Miles Davis, Benny Golson, J. J. Johnson, Wynton Kelly, Jackie McLean, Hank Mobley, Kai Winding, amongst others. As a leader, his first release was "Chambers' Music", published in 1956.
