Born Peretz Bernstein, he is the founder, frontman and leader of the seminal alternative rock band Jane's Addiction. He has a solo career too and founded the band Porno For Pyros in the 90s. Farrell is also famous for having created the touring festival Lollapalooza, maybe the most famous rock event in USA for 20 years; the original idea came as a farewell tour for Jane's Addiction in 1991, at the time of their first break-up.
