Phil Perry is a songwriter, musician and a former member of the soul band "The Montclairs" between 1971 and 1975. Later, with former Montclair, Kevin Sanlin teamed up as a duo (they recorded two albums under the name "Perry & Sanlin"). Subsequently, Perry has collaborated with David Garfield and they played and recorded as "Phil Perry & David Garfield". His solo career, has started in 1991 with the album “The Heart of the Man”. Perry has also worked, as session man, with several musicians, such as Freddie Hubbard, George Duke, Michele Columbier, FourPlay, Chaka Khan, The Benoit-Freeman Project, Najee, Johnny Mathis and many others.
