Profile:
The Rainbow was founded by the guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. The Rainbow belong to the same area of bands like Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep and others, that often are considered among the founding fathers of hard rock and heavy metal. Similarly to what happened to Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, the Rainbow had a very troubled career, marked by many changes in training. The classical training is often identified by the following names: Ronnie James Dio (vocals), Ritchie Blackmore (guitar), Cozy Powell (drums), Jimmy Bain (bass) and Tony Carey (keyboards).
