Profile:
|
Return to Forever is the name of a jazz fusion band founded by keyboardist Chick Corea. The band cycled through many members, with only consistent band mate of Corea's bassist Stanley Clarke. When the heady artistic sophistication of jazz and the raw electric energy of rock come together dramatically in the early seventies, Chick Corea was one of the prime movers. After learning how it was done during his tenure with the master, Miles Davis, Corea began developing his own distinctive approach to the jazz rock mix when he teamed with a phenomenal bassist named Stanley Clarke to form a band called "Return to Forever". |
