Richard Walters, also known under the names of Slick Rick, MC Ricky D and Rick the Ruler is an English-American rapper and record producer. His professional career started in late 1983, and he recorded a series of acclaimed songs such as, 'Children's Story', 'La Di Da Di' and 'Hey Young World.' His music has been frequently sampled and interpolated by other artists such as, Snoop Dogg, TLC, Black Star and The Notorious B.I.G., among others.
