Robert Lee Burnside, probably most known simply as R. L. Burnside, was an American musician who played music for much of his life, but did not receive much attention until the early 1990s, when he recorded and toured along with The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, gaining a new audience and closer his music to the alternative rock scene.
