Exile On Main St., Rolling Stones Exile On Main St.: Exile on Main St. is the tenth studio album by the Rolling Stones. It is a double LP recorded between July 1971 and March 1972. It is widely considered a masterpiece in the band's production. The title plays with the fact that at the time Rolling Stones were settled in France in a real "tax exile" from the UK. Keith Richards rented a luxurious villa, Nellcôte, near Nice and the other members joined him for the recordings, that took place in Nellcôte.

This album is widely considered both by critics and public, as one of the  best album in all their career, I agree with them. Exile on main St. is a milestone, it' the essence of Rolling Stones, and the essence of a large part of rock. It's a work rich of gems that, still today, influences many artists and bands.
