One thing is sure, the Stones will be back soon with something; a new album, a world tour or whatever suits for the 50th anniversary of their existence. Surprises are always behind the corner when Keith Richards and Mick Jagger talk to the press about possible projects: this time it seems that all those who have been part of the greatest rock'n'roll band in history are invited to the party, also Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor, "Why Not?" said Sir Mick some days ago. In the meantime a re-issue of the 1978 gem Some Girls hits the stores these days, with a special Deluxe package containing a bonus CD with 12 previously unreleased tracks of that period. Some Girls was in a way a suprising album, a (irriverent, what else?) response to the music trends of the time, disco and punk (listen to the opener track "Miss You" and the closing "Shattered" and let us know), and it was a great wolrlwide success, irregardless of the harsh criticism that the contemporary music protagonists directed to the Stones, defining them as dinosaurs of rock: what should these say today? Ok, they're old but they're still around talking about their future, while a lot of those bands and artists that criticized them in the late 70s... cannot talk the same in 2011...
