Born William Rory Gallagher, he was one of the most talented blues-rock multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and frontman, mainly active in the 70s and 80s. He recorded solo albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s, after forming the band Taste during the late 1960s, selling over 30 million copies worldwide. Gallagher died after complications following a liver transplant in 1995.
