In addition to his solo work, Burnett has collaborated as producer with many musicians, such as, Tony Bennett and k.d. lang, Elvis Costello, Cassandra Wilson, The Wallflowers, Counting Crows, Natalie Merchant, BoDeans, Alison Krauss and Robert Plant. In the 70s, Burnett also collaborated with Bob Dylan in the "Rolling Thunder Revue", whose gigs were filmed in autumn 1975 and then were included in the film titled "Renaldo and Clara" (1978), written and directed by Dylan's. As film soundtracks composer, Burnett won Grammy Awards for "O Brother, Where Are You?", he won an Oscar for Best Original Song for "The Weary Kind" from the film Crazy Heart (2009), and he was nominated for an Oscar for his songwriting contribution to the film "Cold Mountain". He also oversaw the music for the films Ladykillers, Walk the Line and The Big Lebowski.
