This is a fantastic album of what is just called Heavy Metal (British Style...). In my opinion is their best album and the top of the band career. Listen to The Unreal Thing, Move Right In, Welcome To Defiance (my favourite songs) and let me know... I met Ricky twice, the first time I was at the gloriuos Marquee in London in 1991 and he was introduced to me by my cousin who was working there. Second time, they came to Italy for a great live show at the glorious Rolling Stone in Milan (both venues have closed down... ah, what a loss!!!), and I had a friend working in a local Heavy Metal radio. The afternoon before the show, Ricky came there for an interview with all his band mates and gave us one of those clear vinyl copies above mentioned, I got it signed from all of them and it is still now one of my best "memorabilia". Thanx to Musicadvisor now I know there are just 5000 of them around the world!!! I read that Ricky is now the singer of Thin Lizzy, great for him, but I wish he will have time and will to reform The Almighty because seeing them live is one of the best things can happen to a metal fan. Back together guys!!! Release - Label:Chrysalis Records; Year:1994; Code:7243 8 30820 2 5

Crank: Crank is the fourth Almighty studio album and marked the peak of their success. It was recorded at the Manor studios in Kidlington, the impact of its songs both in studio and live was worldwide appreciated by hard rock and heavy metal fans and critics. The song "Crank and Deceit" was written in collaboration with Del James, Andy Cairns from Therapy? appears as additional vocals on the song "Jonestown Mind" (a cover version of it would also be released by Therapy?). Eileen Rose performed some additional vocals (at the time she was living in London and was member of the band Fledgling). Only 5000 copies of the LP version were made, all of which in clear vinyl.
