Profile:
The Doors were founded in 1965 in Los Angeles, California, by lead singer Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore. The Doors disbanded definitively in 1973, two years after the death of Jim Morrison (Paris 1971/07/03) and a career eight years long. The Doors are considered one of the most influential and controversial band in the rock history, in fact, although their active career ended in 1973, their popularity has persisted. According to the RIAA, they have sold over 32.5 million albums in the U.S.A. alone, and over 75 million albums worldwide. Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger under the name of Manzarek-Krieger, still tour sometimes along with additional musicians, performing Doors songs exclusively.
