In 1975, Tony Williams along with guitarist Allan Holdsworth, bassist Tony Newton and pianist Alan Pasqua formed a new quartet called The New Tony Williams Lifetime. They recorded two albums, Believe It (1975), and Million Dollar Legs (1976). In 1992, these albums have been reissued on CD under the name of Lifetime: The Collection. Allan Holdsworth left the band after the recording of Million Dollar Legs, and he was replaced by Marlon Graves for the tour the band ​​undertaken in support the album.
