Uncle Tupelo was formed by Jay Farrar, Jeff Tweedy, and Mike Heidorn. The trio recorded five albums, the latest is "Anodyne", published in 1993. Subsequently,
Farrar left the band to pursue other musical projects and founded "Son Volt" with Heidorn, while the remaining members continued as Wilco.
