14 years after their last studio album Van Halen III and 28 years from their last work with David Lee Roth on vocals, the band from Pasadena, California will realease on 7 February A Different Kind of Truth, through Interscope Records. This is a long awaited event for every hard rock fan, and, important in the same way, an extensive world tour will see the band performing on stage again with David Lee Roth. Dates are confirmed for North America starting from February 2012, and rumors are strong for European summer dates. A Different Kind of Truth is a sort of flashback in time, since many of the songs contained in the album are based on demos and unrecorded lyrics done by the band in the 1970's. This promises to permeate the new studio album with the typical groovy atmosphere of their beginnings, as already anticipated by the single "Tattoo", with David Lee Roth at his best. One thing is sure, A Different Kind of Truth will be one of the best selling albums and Van Halen world tour one of the most succesful events of this 2012.
