Destroy The War Machine

Destroy The War Machine, Warrior Soul Destroy The War Machine: After their reunion with Kory Clarke as the only original member and after releasing Live In England, in May 2008 Warrior Soul started a USA tour mainly in clubs. At their shows an auto-produced CD with brand new songs was available: its title was "Chinese Democracy" and it featured a great cover shot of Elvis Presley & Richard Nixon shaking hands. The purpose of this CD was clear: starting controversy (with GNR and Geffen company) and mocking the long awaited and never issued (until that time) Chinese Democracy album of the reincarnated Guns'N'Roses with only Axl Rose as original member. Curiosly later in 2008, the Guns'N'Roses new album was finally released and some say that the time for that release was also speeded by Warrior Soul's surprising action. Controversies effectively started on this even because Warrior Soul's "Chinese Democracy" went soon sold-out at their shows, and the band was then forced to change the album title when they finally put it on the market. On 4th July 2009 the 'Chinese Democracy' set was re-issued under the revised branding "Destroy The War Machine", and after more than 15 years of "ostracism", it was published first for the USA market through indipendent Acetate. Destroy The War Machine is the first Warrior Soul studio album with new songs since 1994, and, apart from mastermind Kory Clarke, it features a complete new band.
