William Bell is a singer and songwriter probably best known for his debut single "You Don't Miss Your Water (Til the Well Runs Dry)" (1961), "Private Number" (1968's duet with Judy Clay), and 1976's "Tryin' To Love Two". As a songwriter, he has co-written "Any Other Way" (Chuck Jackson hit), "Got To Be Your Lover" (Billy Idol's 1986 hit), and the blues song "Born Under A Bad Sign", popularized by both Albert King and Cream. Bell, as a leader, in 1967 released his first solo album, "The Soul of a Bell". In 1997, he was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.
