Profile:

The two founding members of XTC, Andy Partridge (guitar and vocals) and Colin Molding (bass and vocals), began playing together in 1972 and from 1973 with Terry Chambers (drums). Before XTC, they founded some bands as the "Helium Kidz" and "Star Park". In 1976 joins Barry Andrews (keyboards) and the band finally takes the name of XTC. The XTC, under the name of "The Dukes of Stratosphear", published also one EP, "25 o'clock "(1985), and one album, "Psonic Psunspot" (1987), subsequently proposed again as unique release "Chips from the chocolate fireball" (1987). The style of "Dukes" was clearly inspired by the sixties psychedelia, between homage and parody. The members of XTC admitted only later to be "The Dukes of Stratosphear".
